| While hang-gliding is relatively safe, it does have some hazard. In a notable accident a few years ago, a hang-glider came down in the electrical power wire near the back-yard of a house, and the pilot was killed. |

| There are restrictions on when and where a hang-glider can fly, within these restrictions, hang-gliding is a wonder sport for both the pilots and the spectators. When you have a chance to come to San Francisco, make sure you set aside some time to visit Fort Funston and watch the hang-gliders soar like eagles. |
